Ever try to mount exterior lights on old wood clapboard siding without having them sit at a funny angle? You’re not alone. Of course, you can always cut out a rectangular piece of siding and install a basic wooden block, but that’s boring. For this install, I milled custom blocks that mirrored the contour of the light base. Cutting the opening in the siding was a challenge. My technique is a carefully guarded secret…okay, there is no secret, only an attention to detail.
